Press release 2017

CHARLEVOIX AIRPORT TO RECEIVE RACETHEHALF SATURDAY, MAY 20, 2017 NEXT.

A hundred exotic cars, performance cars and motorcycles from across Canada and the United States are expected to run on the airplane track or to exhibit. Affordable helicopter towers will also be available.

Like the airports in the United States (Houston, Florida, Colorado, …) or Russia, or that of Bromont in 2016, the Charlevoix Airport will host the Racethehalf edition of the east.

This type of event very popular in the United States gathers owners of exotic and very high performance cars on Airport runways to do acceleration tests on a distance up to half mile. A hundred exceptional cars, some of which make more than 1000 horses will be on site. Among other Lamborghini Huracan and Galardo, the AMG GTS 2017, the Porsche GT4 or the new Corvette Z06 2017.

Better than a motor show

More dynamic than an automotive show, visitors will see and hear the exotic and performance cars.

Visitors can also do helicopter tours at affordable prices in collaboration with Heli-Charlevoix.

More recreative than competitive

Organized by the Automobile Club Gasy on the track which sensitizes the owners of high-end cars on the passion of cars on the track, this event is meant to be more recreational or the enthusiasts will come to have pleasure that it is the pilots or the visitors. A measurement of the speeds achieved will be made using laser-speed measurement and the fastest cars will be honored.
